Replacing the Diesel Fuel Filter

Model: Audi A4 B6 - Years 2000-2004
Part: Diesel fuel filter

Replacing the diesel fuel filter is a task you can accomplish if you have good manual skills. Ensure you have the necessary tools on hand to perform the disassembly and reassembly. The first step is to locate the bleed screw and unscrew the cap to drain the diesel from the tank. Once the clamps are loosened, the filter will be free, and you can unscrew it. The new filter should be filled with clean diesel, about half a quart or more, and it should be allowed to drain slowly. You can then reinstall it in its place, securing it.
