To replace the air filter on the BMW F 850 GS, loosen the screws securing the seat so it can be completely removed. Once the seat is removed, unscrew the screws underneath to take off the fuel tank cover, giving access to the components below. Here, you will find the old filter, which needs to be removed from its housing and replaced with a new one. After replacing the filter, remount the tank cover and secure the seat.
