On the C3, the space behind the headlamp is tight, and a small detail can cause condensation, misalignment, or overheating contacts. Before purchasing, confirm which side is out and check the bulb type in the manual, on the optical group, or on the old bulb.

With the engine off and the headlamp cool, open the bonnet and locate the dust cover behind the headlamp: this is the barrier against moisture and dirt, remove it carefully and refit it properly. Disconnect the connector by gripping it, never pulling on the wires, and check for any corrosion.

Release the bulb from its clip (often a metal clip), pull it straight out, and insert the new one respecting the orientation, without touching the glass. Reconnect the connector until it clicks, perform a test to check the light, close the cover properly, and check the beam against a wall.
