Periodically check the following factors: battery voltage, engine oil level, drive chain, and brake pad wear. Lift the rear wheel before you start. Ensure that the play in the drive chain does not exceed 40 mm. Lubricate the chain at least every 1,000 miles. Check the oil level through the small window provided in the fairing: if it is low, top it up. You can check the battery voltage with an inexpensive tester. One last element to check is the tyre pressure using a gauge.
