How to Reset the Tyres on a Honda HR-V

On the Honda HR-V, the tyre pressure warning light/TPMS usually only turns off after restoring the tyres to the correct pressure and initiating the system calibration. First, check and adjust the pressure of all four tyres according to the values indicated on the vehicle's label (usually on the door pillar). If you have just inflated or changed a tyre, also ensure there are no slow leaks (valve, nails, cracks). At this point, enter the vehicle, turn the ignition to ON (or start the engine), and open the vehicle settings menu from the display/instrumentation. Look for the option dedicated to TPMS (it may be called “TPMS”, “TPMS Calibration”, “Initialisation”, “Reset”, or similar) and confirm the start of the procedure when prompted. After calibration, take a short normal drive: the system needs some time to “relearn” the references. If the light remains on after a drive, recheck the pressures and ensure there is no sensor anomaly or a wheel with pressure still out of tolerance.
