To replace the front shock absorber on a Honda Ridgeline, lift the vehicle so that the wheel corresponding to the shock absorber to be removed is not in contact with the ground. Next, loosen the bolts that secure the wheel to remove it, providing access to the components behind it. Here, you can remove the bolt that secures the bottom of the shock absorber to the axle; the bolt at the top can be accessed by opening the hood. Once the two mounting bolts are removed, you can slide out the old shock absorber and replace it with a new one.
