How to Build a Chipboard Panel for the Boot of the Jeep Cherokee

Model: Jeep Cherokee XJ, MK 2 - Years 1984-2001

In this guide, you will learn how to build a panel for the bottom of the boot of the Jeep Cherokee. First, open the boot door and cut 4 pieces of cardboard to fit in the respective corners of your boot. Remember to label them with their positions. Now, using a tape measure, take the measurements for both length and width of your boot. Next, transfer both the cardboard pieces and their corresponding measurements onto your chipboard. After marking the shape of the boot floor on the chipboard with a marker, you can cut it using a circular saw or jigsaw. Now, test your new boot floor in the boot and refine it if necessary. To secure the new floor, simply use double-sided tape, which will not cause issues if you wish to remove it and revert to the original floor.
