Below we will discover the main instructions that will allow us to disassemble and replace the automatic gear shift knob of the Jeep Cherokee. First, we get into the car and start by detaching the shift boot from the knob, unhooking the metal clamp; we pull the knob upwards with force to detach it and remove it from the lever, as shown in the video. At this point, we replace the gear shift knob with the new one, also replacing the boot if necessary; we reassemble the boot and knob on the lever, finally fixing the boot to the knob with the metal ring.
