To replace the shift knob on a Kia Telluride, pry with an object at the bottom of the shift boot, which needs to be removed from its housing. Once the base of the shift boot is detached, you can grasp the knob and turn it counterclockwise to remove it from the top of the lever. After the old knob is removed, position the new one on top of the lever, securing the leather boot at the base of the tunnel.
