Working on the right side of the scooter, unscrew the two screws that secure the lower side fairing. Here is the battery housing. Now, with a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two bolts that hold it in place, removing the bracket. At this point you can remove the battery from its seat and disconnect its poles, remembering at this point that it is always advisable to start by unscrewing and then disconnecting the negative pole and then proceeding to the positive only. For reassembly, it is obviously sufficient to proceed backwards. In the video, in addition to disassembly, you will be shown how to clean the battery from corrosion.

How to replace the speedometer and clock battery of the Ktm Exc F 500

In this video tutorial we will see how to remove and replace the speedometer and clock battery of the Ktm Exc F 500 enduro motorcycle. First of all, let's disassemble our headlight, unscrewing the fixing screws of the two brackets; then we unscrew the screws of the instrument panel to access the lower part of it, in order to remove the old battery, as shown in the video. At this point we replace the battery with the new one, of the right type (in this case a 3V CR 2430); insert it in the correct direction on the instrument panel and apply the opposite procedure for reassembly!
