Fuel Pump Replacement on Mini

Model: Mini Mini R56, R55, R57 - Years 2007-2014

If you're having fuel pickup issues, replacing the fuel pump might be a solution. Here's how. Disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seat cushions from the car. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the fastening screws of the black metal cap, then remove it from its seat, covering the perimeter with absorbent paper to catch any fluid leaks. Disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation hoses. Pull the fuel pump out of the tank. Check its operation; replace it if it's not functioning.
