Guide to Replacing the Engine Air Filter

Model: Subaru Legacy BP, MK 4, BL - Years 2003-2009
Part: Air filter

The engine air filter is a component of the vehicle's fuel system and serves to filter and clean the air that is drawn in from outside and delivered to the combustion chamber. The engine air filter consists of a solid part and a filtering element. It should be changed approximately every 10,000 miles or once a year. The filter is housed in a container called an air box, which is a variable-shaped and sized air chamber located near the engine. You can refer to the owner's manual to locate its correct position.
