First, wait until the engine is sufficiently cool for safety, then position a container under the bike, locate the drain plug and loosen it using a socket spanner.

Allow all the oil in the system to drain out, then remove the old filter and tighten both the new filter and the drain plug. At this point, simply pour in the new oil through the designated upper hole.
