How to Remove the Parking Sensor?

Model: (Various brands) Various
Part: Parking sensors

Normally, a parking sensor refers to the sensor located in the rear bumper that alerts you when the car is a certain distance from an obstacle (another car or any other type of obstacle). You can remove it in two ways depending on the car you are working on. You can either remove the bumper or access it directly from underneath the car. In this case, we will remove it without taking off the bumper. Once you locate the sensor to be removed, first disconnect the power and data transmission cables. Then, unclip the sensor from its position by manipulating the plastic levers that hold it in place. Finally, gently push the sensor from the outside of the bumper towards the inside. This will remove the sensor.
