Replacing the MAP Sensor in Your Car

Is the MAP sensor damaged? Here’s how to remove the sensor from the engine bay. Lift the front bonnet and secure it with the stay. Remove the soundproofing panel to access the sensor. Locate the MAP sensor (inside the engine bay under the wires), and using a socket spanner, unscrew the securing bolts (located next to the sensor). Disconnect the component from the engine mount. Compare the worn part with the new one, fit the new part with the respective securing bolts, and reconnect the MAP sensor. Refit the covers removed earlier and start the engine for a test.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
