In this video, we aim to clarify once and for all the difference between the MAF sensor and the MAP sensor: the MAF sensor is the mass airflow sensor, which measures the mass of air, while the MAP sensor is the "manifold absolute pressure sensor". In naturally aspirated petrol engines, it served the function of the airflow sensor, measuring the mass of air without load.

In diesel engines, it acts as a boost pressure sensor.

If this sensor has issues, the user will notice, as the vehicle may start to jerk, lose power, the engine warning light may illuminate, and the car may enter limp mode or cut off fuel injection. There could be a broken wiring, poor communication with the ECU, or - especially in diesels - it may become dirty.

How to Reset the AdBlue Warning Light on a Peugeot Boxer
