In order to replace the air filter of the Yamaha FJ09, you need to loosen the screws that secure the motorcycle seat to its housing, so that the seat can be completely removed: removing the seat will allow you to loosen the screws that secure the fuel tank. The tank will also be secured by side screws; once completely freed, the tank can be removed and access to the underlying air filter can be obtained. After the old filter has been removed, the new one can be inserted, and then all the removed parts can be reinstalled.
