Where is the glow plug control unit located on my 2008 Ford Focus 1.6 TdCi?

There is no "control unit" on your Ford Focus that directly controls the glow plugs. The four glow plugs are connected by a single wire covered with a ribbon. This wire comes directly from the fuse and relay box that is between the battery and the air box. The R12 relay simply gives power to the glow plugs controlled by the engine control unit. On the previous models there was instead a sort of square relay (control unit) a little longer where a cable came out for each single glow plug.
