Answer

A car battery is commonly found in the engine compartment with rare exceptions. One of these exceptions is the Volkswagen Touareg. In fact, in all models produced from 2002 to 2010 the battery is positioned under the driver's seat. However, a connection to the positive pole of the battery has been added in the engine compartment. So, if you want to connect the battery to a battery charger, or simply start the car with the cables, all you need to do is find this connection, which is still on the driver's side of the engine compartment near the windscreen, connect it to the positive terminal ( red) of the battery charger and the negative terminal (black) of the battery charger just connect it to a metal part of the frame.
