The brake pad warning light on the Audi A3 Sportsback indicates that the front brakes need to be replaced. The warning light is activated through a small conductor wire present inside one of the two pads, when the wear reaches the established level, the conductor wire is exposed and, touching the brake disc, closes the circuit by activating the warning light. It is possible that this warning light disappears after a few kilometers of use, this is because even the conductor wire undergoes its own wear. In conclusion, when the warning light appears, it is necessary to go to the workshop and replace the pads.
