Here’s how to remove the rear lights of an Audi A3 Sportback: open the tailgate and move the trim aside, remove the cover, then use a flat screwdriver to unscrew. Then, simply pull the light unit out with your hands, with a bit of force. Remove all the electrical connectors. In the tailgate, there is part of the light unit that we need to access by opening the small flap found in the tailgate. Proceed in the same manner here. Then reinstall the new light units in reverse order. The number plate light wire is grey/brown if you need to change the number plate light as well.
