Where is the resistor of the passenger compartment fan of the Renault Megane 3?

Years: 2008-2015
If it happens that the fan speed does not change while adjusting the knob then the resistance has been damaged: this is a very common defect on many Renault models but which fortunately is solved in a fairly economical way; the resistance is located behind the console and can be accessed from the driver's side by removing the tunnel side trim near the accelerator pedal; the resistance is the one with the green connector and the aluminum heatsink.
