Answer

The Nissan X-trail is notoriously tough and reliable, but it does have a few flaws. The suspensions, especially the rear ones, are a bit light if you want to go off-road demanding. In the electronic part there is nothing serious, but many small things that can annoy a lot in the long run. The throttle position sensor has a bad reputation: it can cause problems with idling. Corrosion resistance is mediocre, and the doors can lock in winter and cannot be opened either manually or with the remote control. The heating only starts when the engine is completely warm and the timing belts are rather weak. All this while overlooking the fact that the instruments are not in front of the driver, but in the center of the dashboard.
