Answer

The 1.4 D4D diesel engine is the least problematic on the Toyota Auris. It has good torque and low fuel consumption. The good reliability has been achieved thanks to its very simple structure. It does not have a dual-mass flywheel, has a chain distribution, but the Bosch injectors that were mounted until 2008 have been replaced by much less reliable piezoelectric injectors. The turbocharger is reliable, and the DPF filter is much less problematic than those installed on other engines.
