The problem could be with the Bowden cables. We must start by disassembling the panel, unscrewing the screws and being careful not to damage it, you must check that the Bowden cable of the EXTERNAL handle is good and that it makes the opening mechanism of the lock move. If so, the lock is 99% damaged, so it is better to rely on an expert. If the Bowden cable of the OUTSIDE handle is unhooked or broken, push the lock lever up and open the door, you must reposition it in the lock, otherwise you must replace the handle.
