How do you remove the steering wheel of the Volkswagen Polo 9n?

Answer

Disassembling the steering wheel of the Polo 9n is not too complicated but you need to have good dexterity and a little patience. First, turn the steering wheel 90 degrees to the right and with a large flathead screwdriver pry the rear of the steering wheel to begin unlocking the airbag. Repeat the operation on the other side and forcefully pull the area of the airbag with the emblem towards you. Once removed you will find in front of a large torx that fixes the steering wheel, loosen it just enough to be able to unhook the airbag pin and at this point you can finish loosening the torx and remove the steering wheel. Remember to mark the position of the steering wheel before removing it.
