Let’s see what happens if the interior rear-view mirror of a vehicle falls inside: in this case, it’s an Audi A3, but the method applies to all vehicles. The main cause is almost always the breakage of the metal support glued to the windscreen.

If the entire foot has detached from the windscreen (which is the most common case), you will need a specific adhesive, such as the one available on Amazon with code B09Y8FLCDJ for £7.99, with free delivery for Prime customers. Clean the surface thoroughly and then press firmly the base in the exact spot where it should be positioned.

Hold it for 30 to 60 seconds. Before remounting the mirror, it is advisable to wait a full day to ensure perfect adhesion.

After waiting, the mirror simply clips onto the new base. Tighten the side locking screw and reconnect the electrical connector.
