Programming the Ignition Key

Model: Audi A3 MK 2, 8P - Years 2003-2013
Part: Key

Modern vehicle ignition keys contain electronic circuits capable of activating, via encrypted codes, the engine start and door unlocking. In case of breakage or loss of the vehicle key, it is necessary to program a new key that can interface with the vehicle itself. The operation, while simple, requires the correct procedure. Approach the vehicle, press the top button six times to enter programming mode, and the indicator light will start flashing. Insert the key into the lock, press the central button, close and then reopen the lock. Press the bottom button to lock the vehicle and then to unlock it. The programming is now complete.
