In this tutorial we can see how to replace the engine oil in the BMW R1200 GS, an extremely simple and fast operation, to be carried out every 12 months. First of all, we wait for the engine to be sufficiently cold, then we position a container underneath it and remove the protective cover. We then open the cap of the filling hole, unscrew the drain hole bolt with a 10mm hex key and let all the oil in the system drain out. At this point we can unscrew the old filter, tighten the replacement and pour in the new oil through the appropriate hole.
