Today we will discover the procedure for removing and replacing the starter motor on the BMW R 1150 GS motorcycle. First, place the motorcycle on a stand and begin by removing the rider's seat and the fuel tank by unscrewing the fixing screws and disconnecting the electrical connector; also disconnect the fuel line.

At this point, remove the air filter box to access the starter motor; disconnect the wiring and unscrew the bolts with a socket spanner to remove and replace the starter motor with the new one!
