This guide outlines the steps to perform routine maintenance by changing the engine oil and oil filter on the BMW F650 GS. First, place your bike on a stand and remove the metal cover located under the engine by unscrewing the screws; then unscrew the drain bolt found underneath the engine, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes. Next, unscrew the bolts of the oil filter cover, remove and replace the cartridge with a new one; then remove the dipstick to pour in the new oil!
