To replace the front shock absorber on the BMW K1600 GT, loosen all the screws securing the fairings at the front of the bike and around the fuel tank: the tank must be removed by loosening the screws that secure it and disconnecting the relevant cables and fuel lines. This will give access to the screws securing the shock absorber from the top; then proceed by loosening the nuts at the bottom, completely removing the front wheel and the shock absorber. This can now be replaced with a new one by reassembling all the previously removed components.
