How to Install the Cargo Area Divider Net

This video explains how to install the cargo area divider net, useful for ensuring safe transport. The original BMW net can be purchased, for example, on eBay, with the code 294374040105, and costs $309.29, including shipping. The net can be installed in two different ways: with the seatbacks in the upright position or with the seatbacks folded down. First, remove the trunk cover and store it in the compartment under the floor. Then, fold the rear caps of the cover over the roof frame until they latch. Now, insert the two upper fastening pins of the net into the supports and push them forward. Secure the cargo net with the two upper hooks to the two eyelets on the rear seatback, then fold the front caps of the cover and secure the net in the same way. Finally, attach it to the rear seatback with the two lower hooks; to simplify the operation, you can slightly lift the seatback.
