Handbrake Adjustment on Chevrolet Matiz

Remove the frame of the gear lever, as shown in the video, and the gaiter attached to it, disconnecting its connectors. Unscrew the two screws that are now exposed and simply lift the plastic surrounding the handbrake with your hands. At this point, you will have revealed the two large screws with 14 mm nuts attached, which can be used to adjust the handbrake. Doing this is very simple: tighten or loosen the nuts according to your needs, which could involve making the handbrake tighter or softer. Each time you adjust the nuts, test the lever until you achieve the desired effect. Reassemble everything, and you're done.
