In this video we see how to deactivate the ESP system on the Daihatsu Terios: we turn on the car normally, and then hold down the ignition for three seconds, between the accessory position and the actual ignition position. This will turn on the VSC light.

In fact, in Daihatsu cars, the VSC acronym stands for Vehicle Stability Control, which is equivalent to ESP (Electronic Stability Control). When the VSC OFF light is illuminated on the dashboard, it means that the device is deactivated, and the reason for deactivating it is the road conditions: fresh snow or particularly sticky mud.
