To replace the bulb of the third brake light on a Hyundai Elantra, open the rear hatch of the vehicle to access the light assembly. Locate the cover protecting the third brake light, usually secured with screws or clips, and remove it. Disconnect the electrical connector attached to the bulb.

Remove the burnt bulb from the socket and insert a new one of the same type, avoiding touching the glass with your fingers. Reconnect the electrical connector and reattach the protective cover.

Close the hatch and check that the third brake light functions correctly by pressing the brake pedal.
