The ABS system is a control circuit that prevents the wheels from locking during braking, which is very useful for everyday use. However, when off-roading, it can be more beneficial to disable it and allow the rider to manage braking sensitivity. To disable the ABS system on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, with the engine off, press and hold the "Abs" button located at the bottom right of the speedometer. Turn on the ignition, wait exactly five seconds, release the button, and the orange light that was previously steady will now flash, confirming the system has been disabled.
