How to Enable or Disable the Start & Stop Function on the Ford Focus IV

On the Ford Focus IV, the Start & Stop function is activated and deactivated via a physical button with a circled "A" icon, not from the dashboard menu. The position varies depending on the year: on pre-2022 Focus models, the button is located on the lower central console, near the handbrake and gear lever; on Focus models from 2022 onwards, it has been moved to the dashboard, in the climate control area.

To deactivate the system, press the button once: the "OFF" light will illuminate. To reactivate it, press again.

The video suggests navigating the dashboard menu (Settings/Information/Auto Start Stop), but that menu only shows the current status of the system (for example, why the engine is not turning off at that moment, such as "engine warming up" or "battery charging"), and does not allow you to disable the function.
