Before starting, open the rear boot of your Ford Focus. Begin by unclipping and removing the clips that secure the third brake light to its housing, using a thin but sturdy tool to leverage.

Next, unclip and extract the third brake light from its housing. By doing this, you will have freed the third brake light itself.

At this point, disconnect the corresponding electrical connector. Once you complete this last step, you will have successfully finished the removal.
