Removing Electromechanical Box on Ford Focus
Model: Ford Focus
MK 3
- Years 2011-2018
The same procedure applies to the Ford Kuga produced in the same years. With the steering perfectly straight, unscrew the bolt that secures the universal joint and remove it. For those who don't know, it is located just behind the pedals. Loosen the front wheel bolts, lift the car and remove the wheels, then detach the 'ends' from the 'hubs'. Remove the cover under the car, secured with T30 torx screws. Remove the bracket that goes from one side to the other (15 mm bolts) and all four smaller brackets that secure the lower part of the chassis. A jack should be placed under this and lowered later, until there is enough working space. Disconnect the wiring from the box, lift the stabiliser bar and remove the box.
