Replacing a Ford Fiesta key battery

To replace the battery in the electronic key of a 2012 Ford Fiesta, you must first remove the remote control cover, on the side with the Ford symbol. Extract the physical key contained inside and then, with the aid of a screwdriver with a flat and rather thin tip, open the remote control by acting on the lateral slot around it, being careful not to damage the plastic tabs. Once opened, always using the screwdriver, remove the flat battery and replace it with a new one. Close the remote control, pressing lightly to fit the two sides, insert the physical key back into its housing and replace the cover.
