For this motorcycle, it is recommended to use Harley Davidson 20W-50 lubricant. Start the bike for a few minutes to warm the oil, which will become more liquid and drain out more easily. Unscrew the screw that holds the drain pipe in the oil sump, then remove the cap and collect the used oil in a container. It is advisable to also open the upper fill hole (just unscrew the cap) to avoid a vacuum and facilitate the draining process. Close the drain pipe and reposition it, insert the new lubricant through the upper hole, and close that as well.
