To dismantle the engine of a KTM Duke 390, loosen the bolts that secure the engine block to its housing. This will allow you to disconnect hoses and connectors to extract the engine block from its seat. Now, the bolts securing the cylinder head and cylinder can be loosened, removing these two parts to access the piston underneath. The piston can be detached from its conrod by removing the pin and then proceeding to remove all other components. You can now replace the necessary parts, reassembling and reinstalling the engine block.
