To change the gear oil on a Honda CBR 1000RR, start by lifting the motorcycle on a stable stand to ensure access to the bottom of the engine. Identify the gear oil drain plug, usually located on the bottom of the gear case. Place a collection container under the plug and slowly unscrew it to let the old oil drain out. Make sure all the old oil is completely drained. Then, reattach the drain plug making sure it is securely tightened. Fill the gear case with new oil through the fill hole, which is usually located on the top or side of the gear case. After adding the appropriate amount of oil, check for leaks and make sure the level is correct. Finally, start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, checking for any leaks and ensuring that the gear shifts properly.
