To change the motor oil of a Honda Shadow, start by warming up the engine for a few minutes to make the oil more fluid, then turn off the engine. Place the motorcycle on a central stand to ensure stability. Under the engine, locate the oil drain plug and place a collection pan underneath it. Use a key to unscrew the drain plug and let the oil drain completely into the pan. Once all the oil has been drained, put the drain plug back on and tighten it securely. Find the oil fill cap on the engine and remove it. Use a funnel to slowly pour the recommended amount of new oil as stated in the owner's manual. After pouring the new oil, replace the fill cap. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to allow the oil to circulate, then turn it off and check for any oil leaks.
