It often happens that the cover of the remote key gets damaged, meaning the button area for locking and unlocking may even get punctured; you can replace the key shells by purchasing them aftermarket: you will need to transfer the blade with the coding, the internal circuit board, and especially the transponder from the original key to the new one; start by prying between the two shells to separate them and extract the blade, the circuit board, and the battery; then, you will need to cut out the transponder area from the old cover to extract it and apply it to the new shell, then insert the battery, the circuit board, and the blade, ensuring to preload the spring before closing the new shells.
