Replacement of Cabin Air Filter

Model: Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ, MK 2 - Years 1998-2004

The cabin air filter is located just below the front windscreen on the passenger side: remove the retaining clips of the plastic cover under the windscreen; open the front bonnet, remove the seal along the plastic edge to detach the cover and access the cabin air filter housing. At this point, remove the plastic grille in front of the filter housing and extract the old filter. Before inserting the new one, ensure that the retaining clips of the filter support are intact; if not, replace them. Insert the new filter, then refit the grille, cover, and seal.

Locate the inspection cap of the headlamp (at the rear of the headlamp) and remove it.
