To remove the sequential gear knob on a Kia Soul, there is no specific procedure to follow. Simply position the gear lever in N (neutral) and pull firmly on the knob, possibly moving it slightly to help it come off. At this point, you can shift the gear lever back to P to ensure it is securely stopped.

If the new gear knob requires it, fit the adapter that should have come with the knob onto its shaft. Press the new knob onto the gear lever until it clicks into place.
