First, gather a small screwdriver and proceed to unlock and extract the emergency key. Take the screwdriver and pry at the junction between the remote and the cover to remove it. Underneath, you will find the battery, which you can take out while being careful to note the polarity. Then, reposition the cover on the remote and snap it back in place, and finally, reinsert the emergency key.
