To remove the fuel tank from the KTM Super Adventure 1290, insert the key into the side lock of the bike to remove the seat from its housing. After the seat has been removed, access the screws that secure the tank at the rear. Then, unscrew the screws that secure it at the side, removing the protective side panels. At this point, the tank can be slid out of its position by disconnecting the connectors underneath and replacing it with a new spare part.
